Managing Partner & Founder

Jam Attari is a Founding Partner at Pathway Power. Prior to Pathway, Jam was the CEO of BayWa r.e. Solar Projects - a division of the publicly traded BayWa AG - where he led the division from $1M in revenue and operating losses to over $350M in profitable revenue. Jam spearheaded the Americas IPP strategy, driving owned development of 6+ GW of renewable power and managing a team of 100 across origination, engineering, finance, supply chain, construction, and services.

Prior to BayWa, Jam held senior positions at AMSOLAR International, Archstone Consulting, the Sapient Corporation, and Ernst & Young. He served as the Chairman of Sustain OC for nearly four years.

Managing Partner & Founder

Jared Quient is a Founding Partner at Pathway Power. Prior to Pathway, Jared was the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of BayWa r.e. Solar Projects for eight years. Jared led commercial negotiations that expanded BayWa’s utility-scale pipeline from 8MW to 6GW by 2022, and led the negotiation of the first in-market PPA structure allowing multiple counter-parties to participate in a single asset. Prior to BayWa, Jared held positions with AMSOLAR International and Kirkland & Ellis.

Jared studied History and Political Science at San Diego State University, and received his J.D. from the Cardozo School of Law.

Managing Partner & Founder

Macsun Frederick is a Founding Partner at Pathway Power. Prior to Pathway, Macs was the Head of Origination and then VP of M&A at BayWa r.e. Solar Projects for seven years. Macs led the Company’s market strategy and entry into utility-scale markets throughout the US, originating and acquiring over 5GW of solar and storage assets and managing partnerships on over 2.5GW of pipeline. Prior to BayWa, Macs was Development Manager of Solar Operations for Rosendin Electric.

Macsun studied International Relations and Economics at Boston University.

Managing Partner & Chief Investment Officer

Bill Gulley is a Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Pathway Power, focused on portfolio management, project finance, capital structure, and M&A. Prior to joining Pathway, Bill was CFO of BayWa r.e. Solar Projects and Managing Director of BayWa's US IPP business. During his time as BayWa, he built the Americas' structured finance, corporate finance, and portfolio management teams, oversaw over $600M in equity investment and led nearly $2B of M&A and financing transactions for renewables and storage projects. Prior to entering the energy business, Bill spent a decade in TMT investment banking and middle market private equity.

Bill studied Finance at USC Marshall School of Business and is a CFA charterholder.

Senior Vice President, Operations

Vaughan Johnson is Senior Vice President of Operations at Pathway Power. Prior to Pathway, Vaughan was the Vice President of Preconstruction and EPC Tenders at Lightsource bp, where he successfully delivered 1+ GW of utility-scale solar energy projects spanning several states. Contemporaneously, he managed complex supply agreements and lead the preconstruction department which encompasses estimating, due diligence and EPC strategy. Prior to Lightsource bp, Vaughan bolstered his understanding of the solar energy market with vocations at BayWa AG and over 10 years at SolarReserve, LLC.

Vaughan is a licensed civil engineer and is a LEED accredited professional.

Vice President, Development

Lisa Leipzig is the Vice President of Development at Pathway Power with over 17 years of experience developing and acquiring utility-scale wind, solar and storage projects. Prior to joining Pathway, Lisa led project development activities at Primergy, including building the greenfield, development, transmission and environmental teams along with growing and advancing a multigigawatt utility-scale solar and storage development project pipeline. Lisa’s prior experience also includes project development and acquisitions work at AEP Renewables and Acciona Energy. She has contributed to over 3 GW of operating projects and 25 GW of pipeline across her career.

Lisa holds a Master of Arts in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Rice University and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Washington and Jefferson College.

Vice President, Accounting

Milton Massery is a Vice President of Accounting at Pathway Power. Prior to joining Pathway, Milton served as VP, Accounting at GoodRx where he oversaw accounting operations and led the team through a successful initial public offering. Prior to this role, he served as VP Accounting at Cypress Creek Renewables where he led the accounting function through a period of rapid growth. Milton began his career in public accounting with accounting advisory and audit roles at Ernst & Young and KPMG, respectively.

Milton studied Accounting at the USC Leventhal School of Accounting and is a licensed CPA.

SR. Director, Investment & Capital Markets

Jorge Triana is a Senior Director, Investment & Capital Markets, focused on investment, project finance, tax equity, portfolio management. He has 8 years of power and renewables experience, most recently as Director, Structured Finance at Lightsource bp, including time prior at BayWa r.e. During his tenure at Lightsource bp and BayWa r.e., he led numerous tax equity, project finance and M&A transactions for solar and BESS projects. Before entering renewables, he had 10 years in infrastructure investment banking and investing at Nexus Capital Partners.

Jorge studied industrial engineering at Universidad de los Andes and obtained his MBA at Babson’s Olin School of Business.

Director of Development

Carly Keatts is the Director of Development at Pathway Power. Prior to Pathway, Carly was a project manager at New Urban West, Inc for over four years. While there, Carly led land development, community relations, and marketing for mid-sized and mixed-use real estate development projects - working across multiple jurisdictions and difficult permitting dynamics. Prior to New Urban West, Carly held senior positions with NextGen Healthcare, ONE Industries, and Mabey Bridge & Shore.

Carly studied History & Religious Studies at Elon University and is certified in project management from University of Wisconsin.

Director of Engineering

Daniel Moon is the Director of Engineering at Pathway Power. Prior to Pathway, Daniel was a Principal Energy Consultant at Sargent & Lundy, where he acted as project manager and technical lead for 1+ GW of utility-scale BESS, BESS+PV, and PV sites as part of owner's engineering and interconnection support engagements. Daniel navigated complex technical issues from site identification to commissioning for numerous clients and projects across the US to ensure optimal and successful execution of design and installation.

Daniel studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and is a licensed electrical engineer.

Director of Origination

Robert Owlett is the Director of Origination at Pathway Power. Prior to Pathway, Bob was an Origination Manager at BayWa r.e. Solar Projects for three years. Bob led utility-scale solar and storage project origination in the MISO and ERCOT markets, managing asset acquisition, strategy, and offtake for a pipeline of over 1GW. Prior to BayWa, Bob was an investment banking analyst at Wells Fargo Securities.

Bob studied Economics and Finance at Claremont McKenna College, and received his MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Development Manager

Delacey Machus is a Development Manager at Pathway Power. Prior to Pathway, Delacey was a Land Services Specialist at SWCA Environmental Consultants. While there, Delacey represented clients in the renewable energy sector by securing land for utility-scale solar, wind, and battery projects - working on 10 campaigns across 13 states.

Delacey studied Marine and Conservation Biology at the University of Washington.

Finance Associate

Kael Berkley is a Finance Associate at Pathway Power. Prior to Pathway, Kael held junior positions at several private investment firms including Sorenson Capital Partners, the University Growth Fund, and Hunter Pacific. Kael has contributed to over a dozen closed transactions, including equity raises for companies like Neo4J, Arcadia, Lilt, Lucid Software, and PrimeTrust. He met the founding team as an M&A analyst for BayWa r.e. Solar Projects, where he worked on a prospective multi-national acquisition.

Kael studied Quantitative Economics at the University of Utah.

Origination Analyst

Taiyo Logan is an Origination Analyst at Pathway Power. Prior to Pathway, Taiyo held junior positions at University Growth Fund and Tide Rock Holdings. In these positions, Taiyo contributed to the close of multiple transactions, including equity raises for companies like Arcadia, Project Solar, and Klarna. Taiyo began his time at Pathway Power as an Intern before joining the team full-time.

Taiyo studied Finance at San Diego State University.

Senior Accountant

Taj Shree Basnet is a Senior Accountant at Pathway Power with over 6 years of experience in both Public and privately held companies. Prior to Pathway, Taj was Senior Accountant at Nihon Kohden America where she led the monthly and year end close, prepared and reviewed financial statements, worked on audit processes and oversaw AP and AR. Prior to this role, she worked as a Staff Accountant at Advantage Solutions where she handled financial reporting for multiple divisions, participated in budgeting and forecasting and assisted the team through a successful public offering.

Taj Studied Accounting at East Central University’s Stonecipher School of Business and has a certification in Banking and Finance.
